MCP connects your Signater account to AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.
You ask, say, for the contracts that have been stuck for more than a week, and the tool looks them up in Signater with your access.
Each request becomes a call to the Signater API, under the same access rules.
Create, edit, publish, pause and cancel, also from a template.
Pending envelopes, each signer's actions, signing link and certificate.
Envelope usage, team productivity, signer identity and notifications sent.
Templates, contacts, vaults, members and webhooks, read only. Contacts can also be created.
Nothing gets deleted through MCP, and members and invites are read only.
Connection
In your profile settings, the connection wizard walks you through each tool. In Claude.ai and ChatGPT, you sign in with your Signater account and authorize access. In Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf, the connection uses a token generated there.
Every connection is listed in your profile and can be revoked whenever you want.
Permissions
The AI tool acts on behalf of whoever made the connection. A member sees through MCP the same vaults they see on the platform, and the administration tools only answer administrators.
Every action goes into the audit trail, and the envelope certificate records that it came through the MCP interface.
Business and Enterprise, at no extra charge. Envelopes created through MCP use the plan's balance, like the ones created on the platform.
No. In Claude.ai and ChatGPT you connect from the tool's own screen, signing in with your Signater account.
The API is for your system to call Signater in code, with an integration token. MCP is for a person to ask in plain language inside an AI tool, and it uses that person's access.
Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf have step-by-step setup in Signater. Other tools that accept remote MCP servers can also connect at https://api.signater.com/mcp.
Yes. A connection created with the app in sandbox mode only sees test vaults, and the AI tool is told it is in the sandbox.
Delete anything, or change members, invites, templates, vaults or webhooks. Those stay on the platform.
At docs.api.signater.com, in the MCP server section, with the full list of tools.
