Learn which cookies and similar technologies Signater uses on its website and application, what they do, and how to manage your preferences at any time.

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Signater — Signater LLC and Signater Tecnologia Ltda ("Signater", "we") — uses on the signater.com website and the app.signater.com application (together, the "Platform"), what they are for, how long they remain on your device, and how you can manage your preferences. This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes more broadly how we handle personal data.
1.1 Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your browser, remember your choices, and collect information about how you interact with its pages.
1.2 Alongside cookies, we use technologies that serve equivalent purposes, such as browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), vendor scripts and SDKs, and measurement tags and pixels. In this Policy, "cookies" covers all of these technologies unless stated otherwise.
1.3 Some cookies are set directly by us (first-party cookies); others are set by vendors that provide services to Signater, such as usage analytics, support, and security (third-party cookies). The vendors named in this Policy are also listed on our Subprocessors page.
2.1 We use cookies and similar technologies to:
3.1 Necessary. Essential for the operation and security of the Platform — for example, authentication, session handling, bot protection, and recording your consent choice. These cookies do not require consent; they are used on the basis of performing the service and Signater's legitimate interest in keeping the Platform secure and operational, and cannot be switched off through the preferences panel.
3.2 Functional. Remember your choices and improve your experience — for example, language, theme, notices you have already dismissed, and the support chat. Without them, some conveniences stop working, but you can still browse.
3.3 Analytics. Help us understand how visitors and users interact with the Platform — pages visited, interactions, performance, and errors — including through session recording and replay tools. We use this information to improve the product.
3.4 Marketing. Record where your visit came from (campaign parameters, referring page, ad click identifiers) and allow us to measure campaign effectiveness and attribute Affiliate Program referrals.
4.1 On your first visit to the website, we display a cookie notice. Until you make a choice, only necessary cookies are used on the website; functional, analytics, and marketing cookies are activated only after you accept them.
4.2 Your choice is recorded in the signater_consent cookie for 12 months. After that period, or whenever this Policy changes materially, we will ask you to confirm your choice again.
4.3 You can change your preferences at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the page footer. Withdrawing consent takes effect going forward and does not affect the lawfulness of use that occurred before it.
4.4 Declining non-essential cookies does not prevent you from browsing the site, creating an account, or using the Platform. Only the necessary cookies described in the tables below are a technical condition for operation.
5.1 The table below lists the cookies and technologies used on the website. Where the lifetime is controlled by the technology's vendor, we indicate "set by the provider".

| Cloudflare (__cf_bm) | Security and bot protection provided by the hosting infrastructure | Set by the provider | Necessary |
5.2 The website also uses the Sentry service for error monitoring. That service does not store cookies on your device; the technical data collected in that context is described in the Privacy Policy.
6.1 The application relies mainly on browser storage to keep your session and preferences, along with the same analytics vendors as the website. The categories and purposes described in this Policy apply equally to the technologies used in the application.
| Cookie or technology | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local storage (localStorage, ls-* keys) | Keeps your authenticated session, account context, and preferences such as theme, language, and interface state | Until logout or until you clear it | Necessary / Functional |
| Tab storage (sessionStorage) | Active account selection for the tab and reload safeguards after Platform updates | Tab session | Necessary |
| sidebar_state | Remembers whether the side menu is open or closed | 7 days | Functional |
| Tracking* (same family as the website) | Attribution of where your sign-up came from; the information is associated with the account at registration | Up to 90 days (TrackingAff: 30 days; TrackingVisitorId: 12 months) | Marketing |
| PostHog (ph_*) | Product usage analytics and browsing session recording | Persistent | Analytics |
| Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk) | Usage analytics, heatmaps, and session replay | Set by the provider | Analytics |
| Google Tag Manager | Tag management and campaign measurement | Set by the provider | Marketing |
| Gleap | Support chat (not loaded on the signing pages accessed by Signers) | Set by the provider | Functional |
| Cloudflare Turnstile (__cf_bm, cf_clearance) | Bot protection on the authentication screens (sign-in, sign-up, password recovery, and two-step verification) | Set by the provider | Necessary |
6.2 The application also uses the Sentry service for error monitoring and real-time connections to our servers to keep screens up to date; neither stores cookies on your device.
7.1 In addition to Signater's preferences panel, you can manage cookies directly in your browser settings: block them, restrict third-party cookies, or delete cookies already stored. Each browser has its own settings path; consult the help documentation for the browser you use.
7.2 If you block or delete necessary cookies, parts of the Platform may stop working properly — for example, sign-in, session handling, and language preferences.
8.1 Signater operates on a prior-consent (opt-in) model: non-essential technologies do not run without your acceptance, regardless of automated browser signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT). In practice, the protection those signals seek is already the Platform's default behavior. Where the law applicable to you gives binding effect to such signals, the corresponding rights remain unaffected.
9.1 We may update this Policy at any time, for example when we adopt or discontinue technologies. Material changes will be announced with reasonable prior notice, by a notice on the Platform or by email, and may require renewing your consent. Continued use of the Platform after the new version takes effect constitutes acceptance of it. The current version will always be available at signater.com/cookie-policy.
